Day 01: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

• Arrive in Paro, enjoying one of the most spectacular mountain flights in the world.
•  Meet your guide at the airport.
•  Lunch in Paro followed by sightseeing:
  •  Ta Dzong (National Museum) – Bhutanese history, culture & religion.
  •  Rimpong Dzong – admire the painting of saint Milarepa.
•  Drive to Thimphu along the Pachu River.
•  Evening: Orientation on Bhutanese etiquette by your guide.
•  Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 02: Thimphu Festival Experience

•  Breakfast at the hotel.
•  Attend Thimphu Tshechu at Tashichhodzong:
  •  Locals in traditional dress gather to celebrate.
  •  Witness colorful masked dances and rituals.
•  Visit Tashichhodzong – seat of Bhutan`s government and central monastic body.
•  Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 03: Further Exploration of Thimphu Festival

•  Morning sightseeing:
  •  Changangkha Lhakhang – 12th-century hilltop temple.
  •  National Memorial Chorten – monument to world peace by the Third King.
•  Return to Tashichhodzong to enjoy more festival performances.
•  Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 04: Thimphu – Punakha

•  Drive via Dochu-La Pass (3,100m) – panoramic Himalayan views.
•  Descend into Punakha Valley, former capital of Bhutan.
•  Visit Punakha Dzong – at the confluence of Mo Chu & Pho Chu rivers.
•  Afternoon walk to Chimi Lhakhang – temple of the Divine Madman.
•  Overnight in Punakha/Wangduephodrang.

Day 05: Punakha – Thimphu – Paro

•  Drive to Yabesa village; hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten – built by Queen Mother.
•  Return to Thimphu:
  •  Visit National Library and Folk Heritage Museum.
  •  Explore the weekend market (if your visit coincides).
•  Drive to Paro and check-in at the hotel.
•  Overnight in Paro.

Day 06: Paro Exploration

•  Morning hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) – dramatic cliffside location.
•  Visit Drukgyel Dzong – rebuilt to mark Bhutan`s victory over Tibet.
•  Explore Paro Valley further as time permits.
•  Overnight in Paro.

Day 07: Departure from Paro

•  Breakfast at the hotel.
•  Transfer to Paro Airport for departure.
•  Tashi Delek!
